Himalaya’s Neem Purifying Peel Off Mask Review

Having a clear skin is like a dream for each and every girl, especially those who belong to oily skin family. Only we know how difficult it is to choose a product that works on our skin perfectly without any reaction.

I have been using Himalaya products ever since I was in school. They are herbal, pocket-friendly and effective at the same time. And that’s when I believed how important it is to use a chemical free product.

While randomly looking at the cosmetic section in a mall, my eyes saw this newly launched Himalaya’s Neem Purifying Peel Off Mask and I couldn’t resist myself to try it.

Price: INR 70 For 50gm

What Brand Claims: Himalaya Neem Purifying Peel Off Mask is power packed with Neem and Turmeric- a tried and tested herbal combination, well known for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Our face mask reduces oiliness and helps prevent pimples, lightens pimple marks, leaving you with problem free skin.

Packaging: It comes in a white and green flip top cap packaging just like usual Himalaya products. The packaging is quite travel-friendly as the cap closes tightly ensuring there is no spilling. But be careful while squeezing the tube because sometimes it gets out of control and the product comes out more than required.

Fragrance: Himalaya’s Neem Purifying Peel Off Mask has very strong alcoholic and overpowering smell. When I was applying the product, it seemed bit suffocating for my nose. It can get difficult for someone with a sensitive nose. But also the good thing is that the smell goes away immediately.

Texture: This face mask has a smooth gel-like formula but not too thick, like typical peel off masks. But its slightly sticky and glides very easily on the skin.

Application: I thoroughly cleanse my face first and then apply a generous amount of the Himalaya peel off mask. You need to apply a thick layer if you want to peel it off at one attempt. I keep it for 10-15 mins maximum as it dries out very quickly. I accidentally applied on my facial hair but it did not hurt my face at all while taking it off. Besides, it’s very satisfying and fun to peel this mask.

Ingredients: Aqua, Alcohol, Polyvinyl Alcohol, PEG-32, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Azadirachta Indica, Leaf Extract & Curcuma longa Rhizome Extract.

My Experience with Himalaya Neem Purifying Peel Off Mask:

I have used it for more than thrice now and I can say it does remove dirt and excess oil. My face immediately looks awake and brighter after using it. Even though it didn’t clean up my blackheads, it helped to subsidize the redness around my nose to a great extent. I can’t really say if it removed my acne but yes, it makes the appearance of acne spots less visible and most importantly it didn’t make me break out. However, this contains alcohol which is not very appreciable for our skin.

Would I recommend?

I like the after-effects of this peel off mask and with this price range, its great for teenagers. But I personally would not recommend something which has alcohol and has such offensive smell.
